For business...

How does Premium Partners work?

We often hear business leaders claim that young people are not prepared for the work place and that schools are not equipping them with skills they desperately need.
We believe that schools cannot be expected to address this alone and that Businesses have an integral role to play in the whole education of young people in the UK.
Premium Partners for Schools provides a way to do this successfully.

Premium Partners is recognised as the 2016 national winner for education and business partnership by the British Chamber of Commerce. Premium Partners is at the cutting edge of employer engagement for young people. The Key to its success is robust and meaningful relationships with local businesses and the bespoke manner in which they can work with both schools. If you would like to learn more about how you could become involved in this innovative new scheme please contact Lara Loomes at L.Loomes@downend.com  Our launch in November proved to be extremely well received by the local businesses that attended. All agreed that the students who were also there, were a credit to both schools with one business owner commenting "how confident and mature the attitudes of the year 10 students were". As a result of the event, several businesses have now joined the partnership.

We are thrilled to be able to bring you this data. After five years of working with our business partners, some of the numbers are simply fantastic. To know that business leaders have given over 2600 hours of their time and impacted over 5500 students is simply amazing.

A huge thank you to all those who have been involved.
